zcM1000 Series - "ERR" Message 

1. Turn unit off.
2. Turn photo sensor switch off
3. Turn unit on. Display should read 20.
4. Press Feed button. If “ERR” appears, bad feed motor or circuit board.

5. Press Cut button. If “ERR” appears, bad cutter motor or circuit board.

To determine if it is a motor or driver, switch the feed and cutter motor plugs on the circuit board and re-test.

If the problem travels with the motor, the motor is the problem, if it stays with the button, it is a motor driver/circuit board problem.
